A clear prescription, safe dispensing, and a patient who understands the treatment
Roshettak connects doctor, pharmacy and patient with a structured digital prescription: it appears instantly in the patient's account with approximate prices, is scanned at any partner pharmacy, and every dispensed and remaining quantity is recorded — with no scheduled drugs and no advertising.
Why now?
- Illegible handwriting and dispensing errors are a recurring concern for pharmacists and patients.
- Patients do not know what they will pay, where to find a missing item, or when to take their doses.
- Egypt is moving to a national digital prescription (EDA and Ministry of Health) — Roshettak is designed to connect to it, not compete with it.
How it works — six steps
- 1The doctor writes
Search a medicine, set dose, frequency, duration and quantity. Same-ingredient, same-strength, same-form alternatives with prices appear, plus duplicate and interaction warnings.
- 2The patient sees it instantly
With a mobile number and OTP: the prescription, an approximate price per item with source and date, and an education page about the condition.
- 3The pharmacist scans
A signed QR code with no health data in it. It opens only in a verified pharmacy app, for a limited time.
- 4Dispensing by quantity
The pharmacist records the quantity actually dispensed. The rest can be dispensed at any partner pharmacy until zero — over-dispensing is impossible even with simultaneous scans.
- 5Alert when available
If an item is short, the patient asks to be alerted when it is back at the same pharmacy, and sees pharmacies that report it in stock or "call to confirm".
- 6Dose reminders
The patient picks their times; Roshettak reminds them with the name, dose, instructions and a picture of the dosage form, and logs taken/skipped.

Safety first
- Scheduled (narcotic and psychotropic) drugs are fully blocked and stay on paper: narcotic prescriptions use the secured form under EDA Decree 573/2024 — the list is configurable.
- Pharmacy substitution only with the same ingredient, strength and form, only if the doctor allows it, and it is recorded.
- Dispensing is atomic at database level: nobody can exceed the prescribed quantity.
- No drug advertising, no paid ranking, no data selling. Alternatives are sorted by price only.
- The medicine decision belongs to the licensed doctor alone: the system never suggests a medicine to the pharmacist or the patient.
Privacy with the force of law
- Designed for Personal Data Protection Law 151/2020 and its Executive Regulations (Decision 816/2025).
- Sensitive fields (name, mobile, diagnosis, notes, pack photos) are encrypted at rest.
- Audit log of every opening, dispense and consent. Doctors see only consenting patients; pharmacies see only what they scanned.
- Patients withdraw consent, download a copy of their data and request deletion from their account.
- In production: health data hosted inside Egypt only.
What decision-makers see
An aggregated statistics dashboard: prescriptions by governorate, dispensing rate, partial dispensing, most-prescribed active ingredients, average time to dispense and shortage signals — with no individual identity, and cells under 5 suppressed.
Ready for national integration
The data model follows HL7 FHIR (MedicationRequest / MedicationDispense) closely so it can connect to the national digital-prescription project of the EDA and the Ministry of Health, and to GS1 pack track-and-trace later.
